Greets Green

Greets Green is an area of traditional terraced housing to the west of West Bromwich town centre. Prior to the start of the project, the existing privately owned housing was identified as being obsolete and unpopular. There was a high incidence of crime, and many properties stood empty for considerable periods.

The Greets Green Partnership was established to lead the New Deal for Communities Programme. An £80 million Housing Plan was developed to transform the area into a safer, cleaner and greener environment, giving residents an increased choice of good quality housing.

The project has been undertaken in phases to control the volume of change, but also create momentum to enable radical transformation. Significant progress is being made on the regeneration of this area of West Bromwich.
